V good machine - quick to use

I Have Seen the Future of Cooking
This is an amazing little machine - you could literally have this on your worktop and cook pretty well anything - inc a whole roast meal at once it seems (not tried this yet). With just two of us in our household it is so nice (esp in these scary power bill times) to be able to use this device to cook things quickly and efficiently rather than power up a big oven and have it eating leccy for hours.

    Love the Ninja
This is my second ninja. I bought the original some years ago and loved it. But then I saw the Smart Lid and decided to upgrade. It's a game changer! So much easier having just the one lid and I love the new steam bake and steam airfry options. If you're undecided about paying the price for it I say go for it. I have used my oven and hob only a handful of times since buying a Ninja. It's so much easier having just the one pot to clean and food cooks much quicker. The best thing about it is the money you save on energy which right now is the biggest benefit.

    Easy cooking
Only 2 of us in the house now so warming a large oven up to cook a meal is a bit silly. Seen this on offer at Amazon so took a gamble. What a brilliant product, instant heat for oven cooking and for air frying and healthier, pressure cooking is also brilliant and super quick.

Ii bought the latest Ninja 15 in 1 as my 9 in 1 went bang and flames shot out. I love it so much. Having owned the 0P500UK made it easier, plus the one lid and slide settings for the different functions helps so much no more manoeuvre and having to fit the lid is a dream. It cooks on pressure with 3 settings for steam release, people say its noisy but no more than the originals. I cooked my 6lb Turkey brease steaming first then setting the aircrisp, as reading online, if you fo on yhe combination it can dry the turkey out, but this way, it is very moist and gorgeous taste. I've cooked roast potatoes, made leek and potato soup. All the Christmas trimmings cooked in it too, nice and not dried out. I've have the small grill ninja and use this for steaks etc.Today I will attempt to made some bread or rolls using the prove setting. I've used all except the dehydrate function. This is a brilliant piece of equipment . If uou purchase one you won't be frightened to use it, you won't be disappointed.

    Amazing and innovative
I've used my Ninja Foodi Max 15-in-1 every day since I bought it. It's so easy, quick and practical. I'm saving lots of time and electricity using this opposed to my oven.I love that it beeps to remind me to give the food a shake, I love that it counts down to when the food is ready, I love that it turns itself off when it's done. Just to name a frankly very short list of all the great things that impress me about this product.Admittedly, I tend to just use it on the Airfry mode, but I do feel that the other features are nice to have in case I feel like experimenting with other cooking methods for a particular dish.

It cooks almost everything. Super versatile. Just need to be dure what size you need
I would have preferred a stainless steel pot as opposed to a non-stick pot. How to use instructions could be clearer as I found I had to look on you tube. Measure the height of your space before purchasing but all-in-all it’s a great piece of equipment. The probe is a greatly brnificial to cooking meats etc.,

    Excellent Air Fryer
I bought this for my son . He is doing most of his cooking with it and he loves it
    September 19, 2022
It’s an excellent big air fryer.
11 in 1 but only has 9 settings on the front, not found the other 2 yet. It’s still an excellent air fryer and my wife was well happy not knowing I was getting her one. The only down side to this product is the noise it’s quite loud, and the steam vent on the back fires straight up so be careful under the cupboards because a lot of hot steam is not good for the door fronts, I would use this on the table or central island if you are using the steam setting. I’ve rated a 4 star because of how loud it is, we can still hear it from the kitchen in the room through a glass door.

I have so far only cooked in in twice having only received it this week and find it is very good so far. As a person on their own I will have to adapt portions and times etc form their recipe book. I tried one initially and found part of the instruction missing - what to do with the marinade that was put to one side but hey ho.I have two other issues though. I found the silicon seal a nightmare to replace after first washing it, very frustrating even with their tip on how to do it, it took me ages with wrestling with the machine in finding a convenient height for me to do it (ended up with it on the floor on it's side lol)The other issue is the noise of the fan - I wouldn't want to stick around in my kitchen for any length of time when it is cooking. My cat is scared of it but its keeping her away from her too frequent trips to her food bowl so that is a plus.Hopefully it will save on using my conventional oven and thus my fuel bills! All in all a good product.

    Great Way to Save Electricity
Bought one for my wife, so she could reduce the use of the oven and hopefully save electricity. She is very happy with it, and it gets used for most of our cooking these days. Very versatile, but takes a bit of learning about how to make use of the various functions.

    I love it.
It looks the business on my worktop. I am very happy with it all except the cleaning of a cap type thing in the lid that Ninja advise should be removed and cleaned after every use. Unfortunately because my hands are crippled with arthritis I have not yet been able to remove it from it’s fitting. I realised it’s the inside of the steam vent so pressure cooking something can actually help to clean it somewhat so hopefully it will be fine. You can teach an old dog new tricks after all. I am 74 years young and love gadgets but the Ninja is the best one so far.

I now have an air raid siren in the kitchen :)
Overall, I am really amazed. Used it for airfrying things so far, next sour soup (ciorba) and we'll see, but compared with the airfryer I had, it is amazing. Deafening but amazing. I mean, now my neighbors think I am the most cleaning obsessive person as this sounds like a vacuum cleaner when on airfry mode.Just to keep that in mind in case of a late night craving. On a serious note, I really recommend it. We'll see in a few years, but for now, amazing.

Early days but why such a big box
The box and inside it the manufacturer box were too big. The weight of the box about 1. 5 kg and size I had limited room for it. Can't understand why it wasn't half the size. The ninja is loud and I have only so far used the air fry mode. It seems very easy to clean. My only gripe is it not coming with some sort of a basket remover. If your making chips the basket is too hot to shake. I so far have used a silicon gripper for oven trays to remove. It's hard work also to get it out and tip the contents on to a plate. It is also very easy to use.

It takes a while to get used to it.
The machine itself is great once you decipher the poor instruction booklet. The cooking instruction pamphlet is also poor with very limited recipe's. We bought a proper ninja cooker recipe book which is great and we also watched a few of the many instruction vids on youtube, which all seem to be giving diferent advice, nevermind we got there in the end.

It was a great price but.
The Ninja has a lot of features which worked except the pressure cooker,we just couldn't get it up to pressure. Maybe we were unlucky because I have read far more good reviews than bad. Another issue we found is because it had a lift up lid at the top,we couldn't use it on our woktop under our cupboards. So had to lift it to the edge of our worktop every time and it is very heavy, so my wife struggled. We did return as the pressure cooker feature is what we wanted. Amazon as usual had no problem refunding us.

Absolutely love this, only use my oven to cook pizza, everything else goes in the ninja. Only negative is the photos show an integrated temperature probe (one of the reasons I bought this more expensive air fryer), but what received did not have one and it’s not referenced in the manual, so guessing this model does not have this function. Although the videos and photos in other reviews show people have received one with this feature. So good luck with what model you actually get! Other than that I can’t fault it.

    Get some instructions first
This machine is great, but tricky in as much as the rack provided only fits in the main cooking pot not air fry basket, so makes all in one meals very tricky. The recipe book provided is limited and seems aimed at those who already know what they are doing. This model is suitable for 4 people but wish I’d got something bigger..I’m hoping once I get used to it I’ll love it, but so far I’m struggling a bit with it for some things as I’m not sure how to use it...

    Very heavy
I was really excited when this was on offer £199 instead of £279 however for something so expensive it was disappointing to find there were no utensils included to actually remove the crisper plate from the bottom, It’s very heavy and I found it very cumbersome to move around. As it’s top opening you need more space for storage and use, ok if you’re above average height, no good for shorties unless you’ve got steps. I struggled to see over the rim !! I burnt my arms a couple of times PLUS side cooks lovely and comes with racks to separate food. Got on much better with a front loading Pro Breeze

    Wow, Just wow!
I’ve been using this for about 3 days now and I can already say it’s worth every penny. It’s so versatile you barely even need to use the oven. I’ve used three of the functions so far. The air fryer is excellent, the built in sauté and sear setting is fantastic. I made meatball subs today and I was able to brown the meatballs in the ninja and then switch it over to slow cook and add the sauce. The results were fantastic. I’m in love.

    Love it
This has been a great buy. Have not used all the functions yet but those that I have have delivered as expected or better. It's versatility makes the extra cost compared to an air fryer well worth it. It is heavy so best having an allocated position. I would definitely recommend this appliance.

    Gordan Ramsey who?
Amazing, best bloody thing I have bought in a long time, can make the biggest ninkempoop look like a half decent cook.Honestly once you start practicing and experimenting with it, it is pretty straight forward. This thing gets your underwear and socks clean and hot and the food? The food comes out amazing even better than hot socks and pants would you believe. I couldn't.You may need to change cooking times around for certain foods but once you done that, easy peasy. You could invite all the dim witted people you know and brag how you spent hours grinding in the kitchen while they role their eyes and sip your wine.I guess even a child could use it but I wouldn't recommend, children are too big to steam fry, try chicken or rabbit, just don't get a name for yourself as a bunny boiler either.Great product, ovens are stupid.

I've used this to cook lots of things I've never cooked before. I even tried steam baking and I never make bread normally. Mostly Good
I have had the Ninja since February 2022 but wanted to use it for a while before leaving a review. Mostly this machine is excellent. My favourite function is the steam roast and I use this every week to roast a chicken using the temperature probe to gauge the cooking time. This produces a juicy roast chicken - much better than my oven would. I also regularly use the pressure cooker to cook gammon joints. The air fryer is also good as is the sear and saute function. The one function that doesn't work for me is the slow cooker. I have tried it a few times on both the high and low settings and at the end of the cooking time, the food is not cooked. Carrot pieces are still too hard after many hours! I don't think it is actually coming to the boil at all on this function. Luckily I always pre-cook the meat before it goes in the slow cooker, and the sear saute function does this well. I have then had to use the same function to finish off the undercooked slow cooker meal by boiling it in the pot like in a saucepan. It works, but is not as convenient as a properly functioning slow cooker and not what I expected after forking out so much money for the machine. However, given that the other functions work well, I am still pleased with my Ninja. Although if slow cooking is something you want to use it for this maybe isn't for you.

Good Machine that comes with a learning curve
Bit doubtful at first but after getting used to it and working out for ourselves how best to use it and whats best to cook in it we like it a lot. All the recipe books are pretty useless as they are all American recipes and measures even though they say English version with a union jack on the front. By the time someone writes a UK version you will probably be in a position to write one yourself.

    Smart and useful
The media could not be loaded.  Smart food probe works well, you can be sure that the meat is cooked as it should be. Check the video. All-in-one features allow you to use different cooking technics in one machine but the problem is finding good recipes according to your local foods. In the beginning, you have to make a lot of trials and mistakes but find a way how to do your local dishes. Don't forget to jot down your own steps, it helps you next time...

    Early days
Only had this for about two weeks and the jury is still out at the moment . It's a remarkable piece of kit that supposedly will roast a chicken , bake a cake and make yoghurt . It takes quite a bit of reading to decide on the best way to cook stuff , not only from recipe books but I joined just about every Ninja relate facebook page and found some tips on there useful . I was impressed that I cooked 2 chicken legs , using the steam air fry function , in 20 minutes , and they were lovely and moist with crispy skins . Last night I burnt two lamb chops because the suggested cook time said 20 to 25 minutes , I went with 25 . Should have gone 20 and added more minutes if required . Not yet found an easy way to cook most of one meal at the same time which would be a real advantage . So my advise is if you want to get one be prepared to research cooking methods , accept it will be trial and error for a while but try and stick with it , they are too expensive to be left unused .

    Great machine
Ok first of all it’s massive. Make sure you check the size before ordering. Luckily we had enough space to leave it sitting out all the time.I have no idea how most of this works yet, have used the air fry, steam/air fry and pressure cooker so far and all with great results. The instructions are pretty good and some very useful cooking guides. In hindsight I wish I’d gone for the dual but am still very happy with this one. Can roast a large chicken in under an hour and just 10 mins for sausages. Can’t grumble at that. It’s expendable compared to others but it’s ninja quality and you get what you pay for.

    Incredible bit of kit!
Like many others during this cost of living crisis, I have been searching around for an air fryer to cut down on energy bills but due to sheer demand have not had much luck. Then this popped up and after reading the reviews I decided to gamble and go for the most expensive 14-1 Multi Cooker (last one)! Even tho my mrs was slightly mortified at the price she was quickly won over with the swift and delicious meals I was pumping out of it! I was even more impressed in person at the quality and functionality of the product and I can honestly say it was well worth the money. It looks great, tons of options and cooking methods and is extremely efficient and cost effective. Just bare in mind it is quite a lump! If you have low hanging cupboard units you may struggle giving it a space on your work top and it weighs a chunky 15kg! Not one to really bother with reviews but I’m that impressed with this product I felt obliged. If you have the space and your looking for something that will literally change your culinary world forever GO FOR IT!!

    Love it.
Already have had a Breville Halo for nearly 20 years but wanted something that does everything. With this one don't need to change lid for pressure cooking etc. Shame recipe book that comes with it isn't great and finding books that aren't USA measurements and have pictures is proving impossible.

Using it much more than expected
Apart from Xmas day I have used the ninja for everything that I would have put into the oven. It’s quicker and produces good results. Good quality frozen chips come out very well. Whole chicken was comparable to oven bird in much less time and built in probe removes the need for timings. Roasted veg using pressure function with air fry to finish, very nice. Pressure release on automatic setting is not scary and quiet. You do need to spend time reading the booklets to get the most from the unit. Relatively new user and I expect to use more of the functionality going forward but a very pleasing first couple of weeks.

My new best mate. It took a bit of getting my head around all the different things I could do. But I love it. Only down side is it only came with a few accessories , I needed to buy more as my usual bowls etc were to big to fit inside the pot.

    Great addition to our kitchen
Only had this for a few weeks so still getting to grips with all its functions. So far so good, done a few roast dinners all in one, quicker and better than using the oven. The included recipe books is useful as a guide and plenty of advice available on line.

Since buying it's been used regularly from doing meals to simply doing bacon for bacon butties, still getting used to it but seems to have been a good purchase

    Early days
I have had the device three weeks and I do like it, I have pressure cooked apples, air fried fish and chips and baked a banana loaf. Each time the results have been acceptable and I reckon I can reduce the cooking time on all these items, it’s a learning process. The documentation is very sparse and this lets the product down, more advice on using the features is required as opposed to a recipe cook book which there are several on the market you can buy. After pressure cooking a big pot of cooking apples the grill in the lid was splattered and took some cleaning, the grill part is not designed for easy cleaning however the guide does suggest a steam clean which worked reasonably well.As a single chap I am hoping this will reduce my cooking bill as I have been previously using an electric oven and gas rings, so far all cooking times are significantly reduced.

    I am a woman obsessed!
OMG I lurve this gadget, my oven is now crying as it has been made redundant (except for baking cakes and such like) but that being said, I will give the Ninja foodi Smart lid a whirl for baking cakes very soon.I was hyper sceptical and looked at it with a little disdain, when it first arrived (very early btw by at least 2 weeks). I did not want to be drawn into the hype BUT with my upcoming refurbishment work to be carried out in my home, I certainly do not want to rely on takeaways so the Foodi was seen as the cost effective and healthier way forward. With the cost of living crisis this year etc, we also wanted to cut down on energy costs and we decided to have a Ninja foodi Xmas - the four of us.Well...I say...We brined the turkey the night before and cooked that bird in the Ninja Foodi and to my surprise it came out juicy, succulent and cooked with crispy skin - who knew??? We did the veg both steamed and roasted and the potatoes...Mmmm the potatoes.Anyway this is a very versatile piece of kit and it does so much with a variety of steaming, cooking baking, sous vide functions and works very well. The down side is for a small family of 4 like mine it's good but if you were to host a small party or a larger family you'd have to cook in batches. Another issue is do not follow recipe timings to the letter use your discretion/instinct and the thermometer when applicable to ensure your food is cooked through as this air fryer is powerful and can easily over cook you food. Hasn't happened yet but I am mindful.Well done Ninja Foodie Smarlid... I like what you do and am looking forward to a long and tasty union.

Versatile piece of kit, love the idea of so many cooking functions in the one pot! I'm still learning but so far it has been easy to use....once you get past the removal and cleaning of the anti clog cap. This was the most difficult part of the set up! Took a while to remove, but once removed cleaned and replaced its easier...honest! Looking forward to using more often.

    Cooks great
I like my Ninja Foodi Max. I use the air fryer the most, my husband uses it too, he makes a bacon sarnie in 5 minutes, as opposed to heating the grill for 15 minutes and having to turn bacon over halfway though, also grill pans are a pain to wash up, so all good there. I have used it to make soups, shepherd's pie, steam/crisp chicken and one pan dishes like Spag bol. Its fab, and I am sure it will be cheaper to run than an oven in these worrying times. The only downside I have found is taking stuff out of the air fryer after cooking, it's pretty tricky, I tend to use a pair of tongs, but have burned myself a few times. I think the pros outweigh the cons.

Amazing! What else can I say! So easy to use and clean up is a doddle. Looks a bit daunting at first, but I just kept referring to the recipe book that comes with it. It has a really handy chart at the back.Steaks are perfect. I'm very fussy about my steaks, but this cooks them to perfection. Book says between 8 and 11 minutes. For one medium steak, 9 minutes was perfect and my house wasn't filled with stinky steak fumes for the next few hours. It's great for crispy bacon too.I initially bought this for the dehydrator function. I make sundried tomatoes and peppers in it then bung them in the freezer, but so glad I got this and not just a dehydrator.Honestly, the possibilities are endless.Roast beef dinner in 25 minutes, honey roast parsnips, carrots, roast potatoes and a joint of beef! Perfect! Its initially a lot to shell out, but well worth the money. I waited for Prime Day and got a bargain. You definitely get what you pay for. Uses a lot less power than a traditional oven too.It is quite big and heavy and you can't use it under cupboards, so make sure you have room for it first.

Great pot with multiple nice-to-haves but one MASSIVE flaw that most wouldn't think about.
***EDIT***Added a photo of the state of the pot, as of 15/11/22 so it doesn’t seem like I’m just out to badmouth Ninja’s products. It may seem that way due to this machine having a whopping 4.7 out of 5 here on Amazon, so my review might seem unfair, suspicious or just a straight up lie, so thus I’ve included a picture for proof. You can definitely notice the pitting and damage at around the center of the pot. Also replacement pots are still unavailable on Ninja’s official website.Original Review:This has easily replaced every single cooking appliance in my kitchen since the day it was purchased. There is no doubt about it - it's easy to use, easy to clean, extremely versatile, plenty of people use it so finding recipes on youtube/tiktok/instagram and wherever else is extremely easy. You will never be left without guidance on how to use this machine, you just need to surf the web a bit and read up about it. All this falls apart though once you've used it for approximately 4-5 months... The inner pot starts to wear down quite a bit at that point. By the 6th month of using mine approximately 60% of the bottom of the pot is no longer non-stick and looks quite gnarly. Never touched the bottom with anything metallic, never mind scraping at it. According to Ninja this is considered "expected wear-and-tear" and the fact that it happens merely 6 months after purchasing the machine is alarming to me, yet still considered "expected". The biggest problem though is that there aren't any replacement inner pots to be found for sale anywhere in the UK. They are out of stock on Ninja's official site and have been for the last 3+ months as far as I can tell, the only ones I'm finding on Amazon are these stainless steel Goldlion ones that go for an eye-watering 76£ currently (nearly 1/3 the price that I paid for the machine itself - 250£) and they come from the US so delivery times are 2-3 weeks at least. This has obviously severely limited my cooking on this machine as food now easily gets stuck to the bottom and it has become quite difficult to clean (still avoiding using anything that can scratch the bottom too much even though it's nearly destroyed at this point) which completely nullifies the "versatility, easy to use and easy to clean" points. Cooking times have increased as well and it's not as good at cooking specific things evenly. At such a price I would at least expect them to back the machine with easily available and fairly priced replacement parts, because no matter how good it is it becomes near-unusable just a couple of months down the line.Based on this I would recommend people just stay away from this machine and instead get a cheap Instant pot for its pressure-cooking functionality and buy (for example) the Ninja mini oven or their Health grill for their air frying and grilling functionalities. Have two separate appliances that are great at doing their specific thing and have easily accessible replacement parts that don't need to be replaced often anyways (an instant pot replacement inner pot is <20£ and available always). Yeah, it might cost a bit more to get those two separate machines but, in the end, you'll find yourself spending less on replacement parts.

    Really good air fryer
This is a good air fryer, does everything.Position on the counter top can be a bit tricky since it opens from the top. I have low cabinets so I have to move it out to use, but does the job well.To clean it properly can be a bit of a pain but I put clean water in the pressure cooker and set that going which steams the fry smells away.

Had an electric pressure cooker which I have given to my sister. Got this because I wanted an air fryer but my kitchen is small and I didn't have space for both appliances. This works well for me as I'm a singleton and now don't have to put the oven on.There is a lot of steam when pressure cooking but I have a small movable unit which the ninja sits on. I move it closer to the extractor. The power line could do with being longer, it only just reached my plug.

I originally got this to heat up frozen tenders, but I've since moved on to cooking chicken breast and steaks. It does a GREAT job, with meat coming out tasty, most inside, and DONE. In 10 minutes, usually.I'm looking forward to what I'll make with this next. It does everything.

    I Can Do Everything
I replaced my 6.5 qt Instant Pot with the Foodi because of the Air Crisp feature and the size. Just like the instant pot, I love the many options in cooking. So far I have pressure cooked a 6.5 lb hen & then air crisped it, pressure cooked neckbones, and air crisped port chops. All turned out absolutely delicious. I've already sold my instant pot and I am selling my rotisserie as this replaces both of those items. The dial feature for function, temp, and time is much easier to figure out and operate than my instant pot. Everything is easy to clean, which is a super plus for me.The pot is super heavy which would be an issue for me with my hands, but I have an area on my counter top where this will stay so it is no big deal. I have read that the Air Crisp lid will pull the pot over so be careful, but I have not found that to be true with my pot. The lid stands up straight when I am using the pressure lid and as heavy as the pot is, I don't see it tipping over easily. My only cons for this product and why I rated it 4 stars:You can barely move the valve to seal or release. At 1st I didn't think it was sealing but I saw the pressure mounting so knew it was OK. But when I move it to do a quick pressure release, it doesn't release steam. I actually have to slightly lift the valve up and and turn toward release and hold it to allow the steam to release. I wear gloves to keep from getting burned. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I have not contacted the company about the issue.Secondly, the Air Crisp lid is built onto the Foodi. The pressure cooker lid is not. So once everything is clean, I have no place to put the Pressure Cooker lid, because I don't want it to get messed up (I don;t have a lot of counter top or cabinet space). Currently, I just have it sitting on top of the air crisp lid.And lastly, I wish the recipe book that came with the machine had just simple basics. In other words, how to pressure cook or air crisp a chicken or other items. Everything is part of a recipe, most of which I don't care for, and doesn't give me the basics. There is a chart at the back of the book that gives you times and what to set the Foodi on when cooking but it doesn't tell you how to prep the food or machine. The Foodi comes with an inner pot, air crisp pot and racks. I assume you have to use the inner pot at all times but there is nothing that tells me that. I am making this assumption based on the design of the pot and the fact that you will have drippings when you air crisp and even when you air crisp, it would be great to have just a small bit of liquid in the pot. I learned that from doing the pork chops. My 1st four were a little dry but the 2nd four were perfect once I added a little liquid at bottom of pot, even though I had basted my chops with teriyaki sauce. With that being said, I LOVE THIS POT! It is great and can do everything, all in one pot. Less mess in the kitchen. I can't wait to use the dehydrator and steam features. The one thing I like about the Foodi and the instant pot is that you can go from frozen to a cooked meat in no time (please allow time for pressure to build and release), whereas before I had to thaw the meat which could take forever even using my microwave, which I hated to do; and then cook it. This pot saves so much time and the meats are so tender. And because of the size, I can easily cook a meal for my family of four. I love to cook and this has made cooking a little less hectic.

Best purchase I've made in years!
I absolutely love my Ninja! Haven't cooked on my stove or used the oven in over a year. So easy to use and there are literally thousands of recipes and how to videos online. Unlike when using my oven, my kitchen stays cool when cooking in the Ninja and clean up is a breeze. I would also highly recommend buying a stainless steel pot and extra cooking basket as well as other accessories that are available.

    I love this!!!
I have a great air fryer. Howevere it is an older model. I ordered this Ninja because it was on sale. I really love it. It browns a lot better than my other modeland it is extremely easy to clean. And it does not take up as much space as I had been told it would. I will probably buy another one and put my other air fryer to work in the basement.

Where has this been all my life?
After agonizing for a year, I read a ton of reviews and bit the bullet. I LOVE my Ninja Foodie. I can't believe how fast I can cook quinoa and brown rice! And when I read the instructions for pinto beans, I thought," this can't be right!". Wow. This machine has shifted my kitchen routine. My daughter, who has another brand of cooker, is totally amazed. Very versatile - learning curve, but infinite possibilities!
If you had the wattage capability in your small or large space, this would be the appliance to buy! The 8 quart Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 has a total wattage of 1760. That may be too much for some kitchens. I don't use other electrical appliances while I am using this Foodi. This is a very big countertop appliance. My husband jokingly calls it "Diver Dan." It is "potbelly" round and can be up to 22 inches high (with crisper lid up) or a bit more and it's more than a foot across and deep. Also it lets off steam when using the pressure cooker mode, of course, so it's best to locate it where the steam isn't let off under your cupboards. That said, so far I've made the following foods with relatively good or good results: 1) crisp thin sliced/julienned potatoes and not so crisp sweet potato and potato rounds; 2) rotini spiral pasta in cream sauce with canned mushrooms (perfect!); 3) re-roasted frozen pulled pork in square shape - cooked and then browned; 4) pinto beans in tomato and spice sauce in pressure cooker; 5) Great White Northern beans in nutritional yeast, garlic and onion broth - in pressure cooker and then sauteed. 6) Roasted Brussels sprouts in tamari from frozen. I had less success using a cake mix. The cake was still frothing raw batter in the middle, so I had to take it out, add mini chocolate chips on top and finish baking it in my convection oven. Interestingly enough, it was quite tasty and moist - it just took a two step process with two different appliances. There are some great features here not to be overlooked including the saute function. So far clean up has been very easy! More ideas and thoughts to follow! Happy Foodi-ing!Update: I still love my Ninja Foodi, but I've got to try out a few meals that require just the one appliance. I don't like the idea of using my vintage but still perfect Farberware countertop convection oven at the same time as the Foodi. I realized that certain functions of the Foodi are going to be more like a novelty for me than an actual function that I will use. For example, the dehydrate mode. I've used it to dehydrate apple slices so far and the results were fine, but honestly not worth 8 hours of having the Foodi on for the small output. I set the Foodi up and left it on overnight. Yogurt mode also sounds like something that requires having the Foodi on for a long time. I used my vintage convection oven to dehydrate ginger and cilantro and it took far less time. I like the idea of focusing on the "one pot" meals. I ordered the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker Cookbook by Justin Warner.Update: I just made six chicken drumsticks from frozen to air crisped. The process was very easy, but I noticed that the timing is critical. The drumsticks were a bit red at the bone, but fully cooked on the outside after the two steps of pressure cooking and the air crisping option. The directions provided in the booklet that came with the Foodi don't cover drumsticks, so this is going to be a bit "trial and error" when it comes to cooking times. Also it's important to realize that even though this is an 8 quart capacity cooker, it really doesn't hold all that much when it comes to family size meals depending on the cooking functions. Beans are another story! You'll be able to make plenty of those!

    Almost perfect
This would be a 5-star rating except for the timer in pressure cook mode. It simply never comes on. I know it's keeping time because it starts to natural release and the food is always fully cooked and delicious, but the timer area just keeps going around in circles. It doesn't count down while cooking or count up like it's supposed to when it's finished. Again, this is just in pressure cook mode. It works fine when air-frying or other modes that I've tried.

Yogurt, yogurt, and more yogurt! (Research before making)
Yes, it's true: the "Ninja FD401 Foodi 8-Quart 9-in-1 Deluxe" is awesome! Yes, you can cook delicious and crispy chicken, bake cupcakes, etc. Here's the thing: the instructions in the recipe book aren't that clear, especially for "newbies."#1 example: The yogurt function. I dare you to do an internet search for "Ninja Foodi Yogurt." You will definitely come across web posts and comments in video content sites with people describing how they ended up with "burnt milk" instead of yogurt. Some people added vanilla extract and honey too soon in the process. The good news is that you will only be using one lid (the pressure lid) and you will keep the vent open for the whole process.I suggest that before you try to make yogurt that you watch videos and read viewers' comments. (The video that was produced by Ninja Foodi has overly loud music playing the background, so try other videos.) I found the video made by the man with the southern accent "How to Make Greek Yogurt Homemade Ninja Foodi" the best. The main thing to watch out for is that the recipe book that comes with the Ninja Foodi Deluxe is not clear enough. Although I agree with all 5 steps, the third sentence in Step 1 says "Select YOGURT and set time to 8 hours." *UM, NO!* It's not necessarily that easy.*PROBLEM*: A new user might not know that they have to push "Function" then turn the knob so it says "YOGURT" then set the time, etc. A lot of people accidentally end up SLOW COOKING MILK for hours, instead of making yogurt. My instructions might not be clear so how do you know if you started off correctly?Once you see the word YOGURT on the display and you set the time for 8 hours, you should see the word "BOILING" and a series of dashes on the screen. After a short while (my time estimate: 15 minutes but someone else said about 1 hour) you will hear a beeping sound and you will see a message saying "COOL." If all of this happened, you're on the right track. The recipe tells you to wait until the milk finishes cooling in the Ninja Foodi but, if you don't feel like waiting, you have options. *Do this at your own risk.* I followed the advice I found online: place some ice and water in your sink. Carefully (with appropriate gloves and be careful not to get steam in your face) remove the pot from the Ninja Foodi and place it in your sink. Use your thermometer to check your milk until it gets to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. *It only takes a few minutes to get from 185 down to 110.* Take your pot out of the ice water. Dry it up. Place it back in the Ninja Foodi and put the pressure lid back on (keep the pressure vent open). After a few minutes, the Ninja Foodi will think the milk has cooled enough. Then you will hear a beep. You will see a message saying "Add & Stir." You will carefully remove the pressure lid again and add and stir in the three tablespoons of plain yogurt with live cultures. Make sure you use a nylon whisk to mix the yogurt with the milk. You can follow the rest of the instructions from there. The main thing is: be careful. You want to make sure you are selecting the right options. You also want to make sure you are not adding honey or vanilla extract (if you plan on doing so) until Step 5, which is 8 hours after you put the yogurt in the refrigerator. It does take a long time to make yogurt. Once you remove it from your refrigerator, you can also use cheesecloth to drain the whey from the yogurt so the yogurt is less watery and is more like "Greek yogurt." Plus, you can save and use the whey in other recipes (smoothies, bread).*You can also freeze some of the yogurt you made and use it to make more yogurt in the future.*I added two pictures: one picture shows my results: plain yogurt. The other picture shows what my yogurt looks like when I mixed in strawberry preserves. (Might not look beautiful but tastes so good!)Good luck and enjoy!

    So cool
Love it. Works well I’ve cooked a whole chicken a beef roast with the fixings and my roast came out falling apart chicken came out crispy on top and moist in inside and just so easy for someone like me always on the run.

No Idea I’d Love It So Much!
I needed a slow cooker & decided to try this for it’s versatility. It is super easy and intuitive to operate. I was worried there was not a lot of advice included in pamphlet, just a few basics. It’s practically fail-proof! Even tells you if you need the other lid or if other problem. The features make sense. We use it 4-5 times a week consistently. It does not heat up the house like using regular oven, so great in the summer. The only time heat was noticeable was baking large russets on bake setting. Air fry, broil & crisping all work at higher temps, but no heat dispersal, perhaps because cook times are faster? I stack the racks to make two levels of air fryer space. Works great & have not needed to un-load & re-load to switch positions of food. Just turning half way through has been adequate. I followed directions to wipe racks with oil but not the spray type available at grocery. The racks got that the sticky coating anyway. Was easy enough to clean it off using steel wool, but wish that wasn’t needed. The inner pot ceramic coating is a very nice quality & a snap to clean. I have been soaking the racks in hot, soapy water-filled inner pot for a while why I do the other dinner dishes first. That has made the racks much easier to clean. It is a big bulky item but since using so often, it is staying on my island and will just stored if having a party. (Someday ever again?!) The lid with heating element is permanently attached (good safety measure, probably). The giant lid for steaming functions takes up a lot of space, so it does need a handy but large home other than on island! Like pantry area. Might consider the lid holder piece (that locks into side handle) that can be purchased separately, later, if I end up using that lid a lot. I was worried the top heating element of the attached lid would get spattered with grease (chicken wings especially), but it ends the cooking process clean every time! I do wipe it as cleaning up, but it never seems greasy & never any food particles on there. Highly recommend this. Mine is the “9-in-1” 8.5 quart size. Truly a great small appliance that outshines it’s rival -the IPot!! And those accessories fit & work in this brand fine! The crockpot functions well also! Watch for sales for much better pricing if not needed for immediate use!

This is an awesome appliance! It does everything/ may never use the stove again.
This is easy to clean!Does not heat up the kitchen! The fact that there is an air fryer inside is awesome and makes everything a one -pot meal. It was intimidating at first but now is a breeze.

Run your own food experimentation lab
I kind of love this thing. We were late on the pressure cooker and air fryer trend, but this device has made up for lost time. Even with the several months we've had it, I've still not managed to try out all the features, but I can vouch for most of them. My best advice is to ignore "recipes" you find, get familiar with the basic manual recommendations for things like meat instead, and then just experiment with your own stuff. I have yet to follow a verbatim recipe that was actually that great, but the things where I just went with my gut turned out amazing (thereby satisfying my gut in a nice feedback loop). So, if you like to experiment, this is the kitchen gadget for you. Become a pressure cooking expert, finishing it off with a nice air crisp or broil. Sear that roast nice and well before turning it to slow cooker mode while you're at work, and come back to a nice meal. Learn the power of steaming eggs instead of boiling them. Stack some frozen goods and air fry them to your heart's content. Just about everything I've tried tastes better when heated under the air crisp function than any other method out there. Literally the only downside I've experienced is that the container volume is in its depth, making it so the surface area for air frying doesn't allow for a lot of stuff at once. Sure, you can toss it all in and stir it, but then you have sogginess issues. But, you learn to adapt and it all works out.Overall, highly recommended, everything works as it should. It's a bit of a pain to clean, but no worse than any other cooking materials, and you can often use just this single pot. It's now a permanent fixture on our counter. Can't wait to eventually try out things like dehydration and yogurt settings, just haven't had the opportunity yet.

Love to use but wish it held more
I really like the results I get with the Foodi, but even though it takes up quite a bit of counter space, you really can’t cook enough food for a family of four in it at one time if you’re air-frying. You have to cook in batches. Because you need the air to circulate well, it’s important not to crowd the basket. It’s also not really a meal-in-one option unless you want to make soups or something else of that nature. I’d advise ignoring the cookbook that comes with it (terrible recipes). Just get on Pinterest and experiment. Lastly, the rim of the inner basket began to peel off pretty quickly, and I just cut my hand washing the stupid thing. I’m going to try to get a replacement basket since I’ve had this product less than a year.

    Stupendously Impressive
I'm still learning, so I'm really not qualified to "review" the final result. BUT ... so far I'm cooking good things. I'm cooking them quickly and easier. And if the name "Ninja" means anything, I'm going to end up being completely satisfied. So far, so good. Also, the company went through some BS post office address conflicts, and stuck through with me to the end, nicely delivering the product when the dust cleared. Kudos!

    Love our little cooking Droid!
I thought I wanted this appliance for the flavor and speed of cooking. Turns out my favorite thing about using it (especially in the summer), it doesn’t heat up our kitchen! Every recipe I have tried is so good! The enclosed cookbook wasn’t all that helpful so I bought Ninja Foodi for Beginners by Kenzie Swanhart, total game changer. Good intro, instructions and the 2 recipes I have tried were excellent (ribs & chicken). I highly recommend this appliance!Downside, it’s a very large appliance with a separate lid (pressure cooker) that takes up a lot of counter space. The benefits far outweigh the amount of space it uses.

Very versatile and worth the money!
We’ve had the Foodi for about a month now, long enough to have put it through its paces. I’ve done about everything except slow cook and bake in it - I’ve made yogurt, jerky, one pot pressure cooker meals, and many air fryer recipes: We bought it for the versatility- 9 in one should replace many appliances: My wife wanted an air fryer, and I wanted a pressure cooker, so we got the combo and are glad we did. Here’s the pros and cons:Pros:- Versatility. Saute, simmer, roast, bake, pressure cook, dehydrate, slow cook, pressure cook: You can do about anything but grill with the Foodi FD 401. As my wife mentioned, we won’t be using the stovetop and oven much any more.- Ease of use. I am not a cook. I find many cooking utensils confusing and have trouble with anything but the simplest recipes. The Foodi is simple to operate - a few buttons and a dial. It is really hard to screw anything up. It is not idiot proof, and you can still burn or overcook things, but it is definitely not the machine’s fault if you do.- Easy clean up. The main pot is ceramic glazed and non stick and has been absurdly easy to clean so far, no matter what has been cooked in it. The air fryer basket is non stick and has also been easy to clean. The deluxe rack has proven to be the most difficult thing to clean but has not been bad:. Compared to cleaning dirty skillets, pots and pans, and soaking the crock pot for hours, cleaning the Foodi is a breeze.-Wealth of recipes and information available online. We had a Ninja blender for several years, so I knew Shark/Ninja had a very good product support base. Also most of the newer air fryers and pressure cookers are reasonably similar; so you can Google “instant pot recipe” or “air fryer recipe” and find a recipe for anything that will work with your Foodi. Ninja has included a decent recipe booklet with the Foodi.Cons:- Size: The Foodi is big and will take up a LOT of counter space. Moreover, it’s heavy and bulky which should deter you from trying to put it up somewhere out of sight and get it out when you need it. Also worth noting is that the air fryer lid is large and does not come off. It flips up out of the way when you use the pressure cooker lid or go lidless but seems to add to the size of the Foodi and may hamper it from fitting in certain places (like under low hanging cabinets for instance).- It is pricier than similar 8 quart combo cookers: This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, since I knew the quality would be decent.- I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the alert tone on the Foodi isn’t loud enough. It has a fairly pleasant and quiet tone. This would normally be a plus, but it is so quiet that oftentimes you can’t hear it from the other room or over the television. Our Ninja blender was so loud it could be heard from space, and we have a microwave that emits 3 shrill piercing tones that can’t be stopped once they’ve started. But the Foodi’s tone could be louder. It’s kind of important to hear the tone when you are cooking with a timer or are dealing with a pressure cooker recipe that requires you to instantly release the pressure. That is really about it. Not a whole lot of negative to buying one of these in my opinion. We are certainly happy with our purchase. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to buy a decent set of silicone utensils to use as well as a sling. The handiest accessory I’ve got so far is silicone gloves - I kept burning my fingers trying to lift the basket, rack, or pot out of there with towels or oven mitts.

    Should have bought it sooner.
I don’t like keeping a bunch of gadgets for the kitchen and I really resisted buying this. But, “all the cool kids have one” so I tried it. We use this thing a couple times a week. Makes perfect roasted potatoes or french fries. I usually shake sliced potatoes in some olive oil and load them into the machine. chicken paddies for sandwiches 10/10. pressure cooker took me some time to master, but I’ve got that down now. Sear works well for browning beef before making it into stew. Once you get your list of times down for how you like food, it’s always perfect.

I love my giant air fryer. What a perfect device. There are so many ways to use this so I can make just about everything without having to wait for my oven to heat up.It’s also pretty easy to clean. It’s big so it can be a little cumbersome but it’s more than worth it.

Will never buy another type of cooker again!
Hubby purchased this for me as my Mother’s Day gift! This is legit all I ever use anymore! Cuts cooking time in 1/2 and the air crisper is my go to setting! I’ve have about 10 other cookers and this one is by far the best!

Makes cooking so much faster and cleaning is a breeze!
Overall great product that I still need so much to learn about. But what I have cooked so far has tasted great and the cleanup is a cinch! The only drawback is the size and weight of the appliance, which makes it a hassle to store.

I use the Ninja Foodi everyday
I usey Ninja Foodi everyday. I don't have time to do a lot of cooking and the unit cuts down the cooking time in half. It's sooo easy, I take chicken strips dip them in egg then in panko crumbs and in the Foodi they go. I use the air fry function and in less then 10 min you have chicken fingers. I wouldn't give it up for anything.

    So easy to use
I had an instant pot that I loved and I also had an air fryer that I found difficult to use. So, when this came up on Amazon on sale I bought it. I have used the air fryer for fries, shrimp, chicken and pork chops with great results. The pressure cooker has had good response also. Clean up is very easy with nothing sticking to the bottom.

I am so glad we bought this. Have not used all the functions yet. Mostly air fryer. I think we use it more than our oven now. It is quiet, cooks food well and we do not have all the fats. We are still playing with cook times but you have to do that with a new oven too. We love it.

I am learning to use this Foodi to make everything, from breakfast to dinner and healthy snacks. I am using my stove/oven less and less. It’s especially nice since it’s been so hot!Every meal I prepare is fun to make, so flavorful, and easy to clean up!! I made a chicken pot pie that was killer the other day. Next: a gluten free spice cake! I have become a more adventurous cook. Love this product!

    It's amazing, but it's a big piece.

    Replaces my kitchen!!
My husband wanted to get an air fryer so he asked me to review some. This was the sponsored ad on Amazon when I started my reviews. I was shocked that it had 8k almost 5 star reviews at the time. I also have a crockpot, Instant Pot and food dehydrator. After researching and getting myself settled on the price tag, I decided to purchase the larger 8qt size.People, I despise cooking. It is the only part of entertaining that gives me anxiety. I also am not a fan of clutter. After using this, I sold my barely used Instant Pot and food dehydrator and am also getting rid of my crockpot, clearing out lots of space in my kitchen cupboards.I use this (almost) DAILY, sometimes more than once a day! Who knew? It's so easy to use and clean! Aside from cooking in a pan on the stovetop and my microwave, I don't use any other appliances in my kitchen. I've brought it to dinner parties because I can cook what I brought so quickly and it's hot and ready to serve. The joke is that I brought "my kitchen" with me because it cooks almost all my food (my husband grills a lot though).I use this so much that a bought a second one because I was carrying it back and forth between houses and my husband told me to stop. Lol If you hate to cook as much as I do, and I'm sure if you love cooking, this will change your life. I see why it gets 5 stars!Ok so the only downside is that it is a beast of a thing. Too bad the air fryer top has to stay on when using the pressure cooker. (Never had any issues with tipping though.) I have an amazing keto air fryer cookbook but I think it's meant for cooking in a wider, shallower air fryer so I have to play around with cooking times. I actually like that the inside pot is nonstick. Easier to clean than my instant pot.For something I wasn't thrilled about in the beginning, I sure am thrilled now. The only other negative thing for me is that since I cook everything in here and entertain a lot, I have to go in batches for large quantities or cook one side first and keep it warm while cooking another side. The first thing I made in here were some bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers my mom made that I had frozen. Cooked perfectly in 12 minutes from frozen. Can't recommend this enough!

Easy to clean, multiple functions, easy to use, I use it almost daily.
I have had a number of electric pressure cook brands over the years, and the Ninja Foodi pressure cookers with the air crisp lid is my favorite. First of all, to me, it doesn't make sense to buy a 6 quart pressure cooker since the quantity you cook is limited to the capacity of the cook. With an 8 quart pressure cooker, you can as easily cook smaller quantities as larger ones. I always opt for the larger size since cookers I have had in smaller sizes were never used.I also have had the Ninja OP301 pressure cooker with the air crisp lid for over two years. I use it almost every day and it still works and looks like new. I like it so much, when I saw the Ninja FD401 unit on sale during the Amazon Prime days, I jumped on it. I wanted an extra in case the one I have fails. From experience, I have learned this usually happens in the middle of making dinner.I have looked into the differences between the two units, and I'm not sure whether I prefer the OP301 unit to the DP401 unit. Both units boast boast 9-in-one functions, but the OP301 actually has 7 cooking functions to choose from and the DP401 has 8 functions to choose from. Some functions are combined. The following is the differences between the two units. - Cooking functions - The DP401 added Yogurt to the Slow Cook function, but doesn't have the Broil function: OP301 - Pressure, Steam, Slow Cook, Sear/Sauté, Air Crisp, Bake/Roast, Broil, Dehydrate FD401 - Pressure, Steam, Slow Cook/Yogurt, Sear/Sauté, Air Crisp, Bake/Roast, Dehydrate - Cooking function selection - The DP401 uses the Start/Stop knob to scroll through the functions for selection and to increase or decrease time and temperature. The OP301 has buttons that can be pressed for each function. Personally, I prefer the selection buttons on the OP301 to the dial used for selection on the FD401. - Time and Temperature - On both units there are default settings for both, but time and temperature can be easily changed on both by pressing the up/down buttons on the OP301 or using the dial on the FD401. - Accessories - Both come with the same accessories: reversible rack, cook/crisp basket, etc.I use my Ninja Foodi almost every day, and bought a couple accessories to increase the uses . Since I grow a number of veggie greens in my basement, I bought a steamer basket from Amazon for an 8 quart pressure cooker that I use to steam the veggies. The thicker leaves require 8-10 minutes of steaming, and the thinner leaves, like spinach, require only 2-3 minutes of steaming. I also bought the Ninja Foodi Skewer set that works wonderfully for cooking and browning BBQ'ed chicken wings, chicken thighs, and brochettes using chicken, fish, shrimp, or beef. The air crisping lid is used for the chicken wings and thighs after cooking them with the baking function. As a pressure cooker, this Ninja Foodi saves so much time, and the results are always wonderful. For example, a pork shoulder roast needs to be pressure cooked for only 55 minutes, and the liquids left make a wonderful gravy. To do this, put 2 cups of beef broth in the bottom of the cooking pot, add 1 large onion cut into wedges, 5-6 garlic cloves (or to taste), and seasonings. After the pork shoulder is done, remove it and cover with tin foil to keep warm. Set the cooker to sauté low, use in immersion blender to blend the onion and garlic, add a mixture of 1/4 cup water and 2 tbsp. corn starch, and cook until the gravy thickens. Using the pressure cooking function, I have also made pot roast with potatoes and carrots, corned beef and cabbage, short ribs, beef stew, and more. All have come out perfect, and all were done in 1 hour or less.In conclusion, both units supply basically the same cooking functions, and both are excellent cooking appliances with multiple cooking functions that will enhance the cooking abilities of anyone using them. Personally, I prefer the button selection of the OP302 over the FD401 unit simply because pushing a button for the desired function is much easier and faster than scrolling to the desired function with a dial.As for storage of the Air Crisp lid, there is an option available on Amazon to store this lid on top of the pressure cooker. I have this, and now store my Air Crisp lid on top of the pressure cooker.Another important point to mention is that many of the newer appliances use wattages from 1500 to 1800 watts. This unit is rated at 1760 units. We have a 40 year old home and most of the circuit breakers were 15 amps. This could handle 1 appliance if nothing else was running at the time of the appliance. I was having a problem with circuit breakers popping when using two appliances at the same time and sometimes when I was using only one. This made cooking dinners very frustrating as the cook times were lost when the breaker popped. We finally had an electrician come to the house to upgrade our circuit breakers to 20 amp and many of the outlets in my kitchen were wired to separate circuit breakers. This made dinner cooking a lot easier for me, but it came at a cost of over $3000. If you have only a couple of the newer appliances, including this one, you may have a problem if you have 15 amp circuits and anything else is running on the same circuit at the same time.I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update my review if my opinion changes or I can add more information.

    Wonderful product
I just bought this in July it is now September I liked it so much I bought A second one. Since July I have only use my stove two times I do everything In the ninja foodie I couldn’t be happier I did make a space for it on my counters I don’t want it tucked away somewhere it’s too easy to use. I have never been disappointed with anything from shark and ninja everything I buy from them is great and I bought a lot of their products. If I get one that’s super good I always buy one for my boys because they both like to cook. I wish I could have afforded a bigger one but I got what I could afford and I’m not sorry at all.

We use this product multiple times a week, from cooking hotdogs to larger more extravagant meals this does it all. One of the biggest perks with an air fryer, saves on adding all that oil we would normally use. A must buy if you're trying not to eat out all the time and save on cleaning an army of pots and pans.

Pressure cooking and air fryer good.
It's great i can make an entire slab of ribs on under an hour with the pressure cooker and broil function. Takes a bit to get the timing just right however but you can start it again if need be. Had trouble lining up the pressure lid with the arrows as they're black and difficult to see. The broil function and air fryer close to top of unit so keep the temp lower. THE CRISP PLATE IS HORRIBLE. NEEDS THE BASKET. HARD TO GET OUT WHEN IT'S HOT AND EVERYTHING STICKS TO IT. BEEN USING THE SILVER GRILL TRAY INSTEAD. Other than that I love it. It's just a learning curve for a few months in regards to timing and uses. Overall would recommend

This product is easy to use, and saved our cooking time for other chores and activities. It also added fun to our cooking because it's a new way of cooking. My family practiced different recipes and adjusted to the new cooking time. It takes practice but it really didn't take long to get a start.

    Absolutely in Love
Ive used air fryers before and they either where too messy or a hassle to take apart, but this one comes apart like a dream. It reheats leftovers with a nice crunch, chicken nuggies come out perfect, even one pot stir fryed rice. Couldnt recommend it more!

    A kitchen must have
Where do I even start......honestly it's probably the only thing you would ever need in your kitchen to cook food. I use it for everything. Roasts, whole chickens, stews, rice, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings.....on and on and on. Don't hesitate on the price because this cooker is very much worth it. The pot on the inside is non-stick and removeable too so it's super easy to clean.

    Not Bug-Proof
Only had this thing a few days, but so far so good, mostly. It's my first unit like this, so I can't say it's better or worse than anything else. My only complaint is that the unit is not bug proof. I made some salmon in the pressure cooker & ate about 95% of it. I left the rest in the unplugged pot, only covering it with the air fryer lid. There was an annoying fly buzzing around my kitchen maybe an hour later, but it disappeared. I wondered where it went since I hadn't opened a door or window or anything to let it out. A little later, I went to see what salmon was left, only to find the fly dead in the water below the salmon. I know it wasn't there before I started because I carefully washed everything before I put it in. Apparently, the air fryer lid allows bugs to get in, so that's a definite negative for me. Perhaps it wouldn't have been able to get in if I had used the pressure cooker lid instead, but I don't know if any kind of seal is formed without the unit powered on, so after this experience I wouldn't take the chance & will no longer store food inside the unit for any length of time. Of course, regular pots & pans also carry the same risk in regards to bugs & as a new air fryer owner I can't say "This other brand keeps bugs out, why doesn't the Ninja Foodi?!" so while I can't fault Ninja too, too much over this, I do hope this is something they address & fix later on since bugs like flies are known disease spreaders & preventing them from accessing the food inside the unit is important.

The crisper is the seal the deal!
I like that it does a multiple of things just like the instant pot with the bonus of having the crisper.

Yep!! It's worth the value of Price. No Complaints.
I made more than a few dishes. I enjoyed the way my dishes can out. More important, Don't have to wash a lot of cook ware with the Ninja. Not so big that it takes up small counter space. You need to thank yahoo for writing a article on the Ninja 9-1 cooker, I read the article then went to amazon and order for the price they had it at that time.

    I love the 12-1 feature
I had to practice first before I cooked anything because I felt intimidated by the pressure cooker…no need.. it’s quite simple to use. Now I’m learning to stack the starch and then the protein and the the veggies…like a pro. It really can do anything and with just the two of us at home, no need to run a large oven or stove and heat up the whole house. It saves on electricity and time and air frying food is much healthier and SO tasty. This little appliance is perfect for small families

    The best
I bought this as a present for my wife on Christmas she loves it and uses it daily. I also cook what my daughter calls her favorite spicy chicken. It's a family hit. I just wish it came with 2 pans instead of one.

Better Than Breville By a LONG Shot !!!!
I have had Breville products for about ten years and really like them. I had been toying around with getting another Breville multi functional pressure cooker, etc. I had it all picked out almost ready to buy and read through the reviews. They were AWFUL ! Somehow the Ninja Foodi caught my eye. Maybe it was mentioned in one of the Breville reviews. I don’t know how I happened upon it. Anyway, I ordered the 9 in 1 Ninja Foodi. I watched YouTube after YouTube about it, watched YouTube recipe ideas and hit the ground running. In the short time I’ve had it (less than a month), I’ve cooked all kinds of things in it ! Soups, stews and tonight chicken and dumplings. Everything has been fantastic ! If it wasn’t, it was the recipe, NOT the Ninja Foodi.I have yet to use ALL its functions but what I’ve used so far, I’m THRILLED with ! I have a Breville Pressure Cooker. I think it has 5 functions and 6 quart capacity. It does the job but it’s not as easy to use - the ring has a hard plastic part along with the soft rubbery part that goes around it. The Ninja Foodi only has the soft rubbery part and is SO MUCH easier to insert !I give this Ninja Foodi two thumbs up. I’m really looking forward to using more of its functions. I want to make a chicken starting with the pressure cooker feature and then when it’s done, switching over to the air fry feature to brown the skin. I also want to make bbq ribs using the same features in the same order. If you have a question about the quality of this product, look no more. This is the one you want.Pictured is the chicken and dumplings I made tonight as well as the Brocolli Cheddar Soup from last week. My husband really enjoyed them both and he’s a hard one to please !If you’re looking for some GREAT pressure cooker recipes, go to “www.pressureluck.com”. Both the recipes in the pictures were from his YouTube Channel. However, he uses an Instant Pot but all his recipes can be done in the Niinja Foodi. The Instant Pot has a metal bowl. The Ninja Foodi has a non-stick surface bowl - no deglazing required and a breeze to clean. In the Pressure Luck YouTubes, he’s forever deglazing the Instant Pot bowl. As I said, no deglazing on this Ninja Foodi product. She’s just a GEM !!!So buy this unit, watch as many YouTubes as you can so you’re an expert by the time she arrives and START COOKING !

I was skeptical and afraid I wouldn't it (was afraid of the pressure cooker-bad experience years ago), but once I turned it on and started cooking with it, I love it! Minimal heat so the house isn't getting heated! Would definitely recommend!

What took me so long to buy one?
This product is fantastic. We've made roasts, jerky and soups. And we're still new things to do with it. It's a "must have" for any kitchen.

Get it for Hard boiled eggs, if nothing else
I bought this thing because I've been unhappy with my most recent crockpot. Always cooks too hot and reviews for others are equally unenthusiastic, so I started reading about the latest hotness in cooking, the Instapot. We already had an air fryer, which we used quite a bit but it had a couple drawbacks. I thought I'd see if this pot was a reasonable successor to both my crockpot and my airfryer, and it is. Definite improvement in both fields. The thing that really has cinched it in our household, is pressure cooked hard boiled eggs. We have tried every method known to man to do hard boiled eggs that peeled cleanly and easily and always, there's one or two ugly eggs. Not with the Ninja. My husband has started watching his diet and hard boiled eggs are a staple for weekday quick breakfasts for him. I started doing 6 in the Ninja for him: 6 minutes of pressure, 6 minutes of sit, then release and put the eggs in icy water and every egg comes out clean. Husband said to go leave a review that you should buy it for that, if no other reason. So here you are! I've also done several recipes he's come across for his new diet and they've done wonderfully, all in one pot instead of several like the recipe called for. I may start making yogurt next. Replacement parts are relatively cheap. I read you should use a gasket that doesn't have any strong spices used with it for yogurt so I ordered a new gasket.

    Saves so much time cooking.
Like the quickness of cooking. I have used it on meat, fish, pasta, veggies and plan to make banana bread and brownies. Everything is so flavorful and it doesn't heat up the kitchen.

    You won’t go wrong!
What a great addition to my kitchen. I can’t believe how much I use it. Cleaning is a breeze and the food is flavorful. I held off buying one for so long. Finally got it several months ago and I use it a lot!
